Delhi Govt Announces Rs 2,100 Monthly Aid for Women
On Wednesday, former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal made two significant announcements to benefit the women of Delhi.
Speaking to the media, Kejriwal stated, 'Today, I am here to make two major announcements for the people of Delhi, both of which are for women. I had promised to provide Rs 1,000 to every woman. This resolution was passed in a cabinet meeting chaired by CM Atishi this morning. The scheme has now been implemented in Delhi.'
Enrollment for Rs 2100 per month will commence tomorrow
The Chief Minister explained that the scheme is now in place, but the actual disbursement of funds will not occur immediately.
Kejriwal mentioned that elections will be announced in 10-15 days, making it impossible to transfer money to accounts at this time, which may cause some delays.
Addressing concerns about whether Rs 1,000 is sufficient given rising inflation, Kejriwal noted feedback from some women who said the amount was inadequate.
Therefore, registration for Rs 2,100 per month will commence tomorrow.
This revised amount aims to better address the financial needs of the city's women.
Prominent party leader Manish Sisodia praised announcement
Delhi Chief Minister Atishi stated that the honorarium for women is a guarantee from Kejriwal and it will be honored.
'Arvind Kejriwal had pledged to provide a monthly honorarium of Rs 1,000 to every woman in Delhi.
Today, the Delhi government has fulfilled this promise,' he said.
Now, Arvind Kejriwal has assured that if his government is re-elected, every woman in Delhi will receive an honorarium of Rs 2,100 per month.
This is Kejriwal's guarantee and it will be accomplished.
Senior party leader Manish Sisodia praised the announcement, saying the AAP has demonstrated that its politics is centered on the welfare of the common people.
It is a significant step towards empowering and respecting the women of Delhi.
The Delhi government has made a historic declaration under the Kejriwal Mahila Samman Yojana.
This initiative represents women's dignity and reinforcement of their rights
Women in Delhi will receive Rs 1,000 per month, which will increase to Rs 2,100 per month after the election.
The cabinet has approved this proposal. This initiative aims to enhance women's economic independence and bring positive changes to their families.
The scheme represents women's self-respect and empowerment of their rights. Arvind Kejriwal has demonstrated once again that his politics focuses on the welfare and empowerment of the common people.
The announcement is part of the Aam Aadmi Party's continuous efforts to provide financial assistance to women in Delhi, following approval in the cabinet meeting, and the scheme has now been officially implemented.
Assembly elections in Delhi are expected to take place early next year.
