The FICCI Ladies Organization (FICCI FLO) Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh unveiled WeFlo, the region's first dedicated job portal for women, during a press conference as part of their ongoing commitment to empowering women.

An official statement highlights that the platform aims to link female job seekers from both urban and rural areas with reliable employers, free of charge. This initiative underscores FICCI FLO JKL's dedication to fostering sustainable opportunities for women and advancing their economic independence.

Scheduled to officially launch on December 23, WeFlo aims to connect women seeking employment with industries and businesses committed to hiring women.

The platform's free and dependable nature aligns with FLO's mission to empower women, fostering self-reliance and success in today's ever-changing workforce, according to the statement.

At the press conference, Ruchika Gupta, Chairperson of FICCI FLO JKL, highlighted the transformative potential of the initiative. She emphasized that for India to achieve its vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047, it is essential for women to play an equal role in driving the country’s economic progress.

She stated that the organizations involved in the initiative would be honored and valued for their dedication to empowering women.

In the press release, he conveyed his gratitude to the government and the Department of Industries for their invaluable support. He also encouraged the private sector to partner with FLO in fostering a thriving ecosystem that promotes equal opportunity employment.

The press conference saw the participation of FICCI FLO JKL's core leadership team, including Varuna Anand (immediate past president), Varsha Bansal (vice-president), Sona Mehta (treasurer), and Nandita Bajaj (joint executive secretary), who collectively pledged their unwavering support for the initiative.
