Faizal Khan, an educator and YouTuber popularly known as Khan Sir, was released from the Gardanibagh Police Station in Patna on Friday night after being detained. Earlier that day, he had participated in a protest with Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) aspirants in Patna against the expected changes to the exam pattern.

The protesting students are calling for exams to be conducted in a 'One Shift and One Paper' format to prevent the normalization process. Earlier, Special Executive Magistrate MS Khan requested the protesters to vacate the area.

"The protesters will need to vacate the protest site. I have just arrived and am unaware of the situation. Khan Sir was detained and is now leaving. I’m not sure where he’s headed or where he’s being taken. No one is inside, and they will have to leave the protest site," MS Khan stated on Friday.

Khan Sir, speaking to the media about the ongoing protests, stated that the protests are not politically motivated and that they will support anyone willing to address their demands.

"With only a week left, it's unfortunate that we have to protest for our demands on the land of Chanakya, just a week before the examinations. We want the president of BPSC to confirm that there will be no normalisation, that the exams will be held in a single shift, and that all students will receive the same paper. We have no personal issues with anyone. The process might be good, but the person implementing it must be competent. Can they guarantee that? We will not leave until we get assurance that normalisation will be removed," Khan Sir told reporters earlier.

"We urge the police administration to recognize that your children are also studying here, and we teach them as well. We believe in the Constitution, which is why we are not protesting on the streets. We have come to the protest site to express our views constitutionally. We are committed to ensuring that the normalization process is cancelled. We hold no expectations from BPSC, but our hopes are with the government. We have no political agenda; we will stand with those who listen to our demands", he added.

"We will not allow this to happen. This will not be successful. One shift, one exam, and one paper. If students' time is wasted, they should be given additional time. The exam date should be extended. The forms of students that were rejected due to server issues should be accepted," Khan said while addressing the protesting students.
