On Monday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami unveiled the promo and poster for 'Mairai Gaon Ki Baat,' the first feature film in the Jaunsari language. 

According to an official press release, he stated that the state government is fully supporting the production and promotion of regional films to boost regional culture.

The press release cited Dhami addressing an event at the Chief Minister's residence, where he mentioned, "Since the formation of the state, the first Jaunsari feature film is now ready. Through this film, there will be an opportunity to showcase and understand the rich culture, heritage, and customs of Jaunsar."

Encouraging the audience to watch the film, the press release mentioned Dhami, noting that the state government is providing all necessary support for the production and promotion of films in regional languages. In this regard, the government has implemented a new film policy.

Dhami emphasized that the people of Uttarakhand possess the capability to excel in various fields. He also congratulated actor Abhinav Chauhan, noting that his Garhwali film 'Asgar' achieved significant success, as stated in the release.

The preview of the inaugural Jaunsari feature film 'Mairai Gaon Ki Baat' was unveiled at the camp office. This historic film aims to effectively showcase the folk culture, rich history, and traditional way of life of Jaunsar-Bawar to a global audience.

"This film is an important step toward preserving and promoting our culture. The film features wonderful acting by the people of Jaunsar-Bawar and has been shot at beautiful locations in our state. I hope this film will find a special place in the hearts of culture lovers. Heartiest congratulations to all the team members involved in the making of the film!" the Chief Minister had earlier posted on X.
