Priyanka Gandhi: Priyanka secured a victory in the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election with a margin exceeding 410,000 votes. This surpasses the margin her brother Rahul Gandhi achieved in the general elections earlier this year. Party sources indicate that this marks Priyanka's inaugural visit to her Lok Sabha constituency since becoming an MP.

Priyanka Gandhi's First Visit to Wayanad

On her first visit as an MP, Priyanka will be joined by her brother and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. Earlier, the Gandhi family was seen departing their residence in the national capital. She will also address a joint public rally in Wayanad along with participating in other public events. 'Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Ji are set to attend a joint public meeting and other public functions in Wayanad,' the Congress stated. The public meeting is scheduled for later in the day at Mukkam in the Tiruvambadi Assembly constituency of Kozhikode district.

Receptions Will Be Held

Following the previously shared schedule by the Congress, welcome ceremonies for him will take place at 2:15 PM, 3:30 PM, and 4:30 PM at Karulai in Nilambur, Wandoor, and Advanna in Ernad, respectively. The Congress general secretary was sworn in as an MP in the Lok Sabha on November 28, holding a copy of the Constitution. Priyanka was observed wearing a Kerala Kasavu saree during her oath-taking as a representative from the southern state.

Victory Achieved in Wayanad Lok Sabha Constituency

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra secured the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat with a margin of 4,10,931 votes, defeating Satyan Mokeri of the Communist Party of India (CPI). Wayanad, a Congress stronghold, witnessed a three-way contest involving Priyanka Gandhi, Navya Haridas of the BJP, and Satyan Mokeri of the CPI. The seat was previously held by her brother Rahul Gandhi, who shifted to Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh after winning the Lok Sabha elections there this year.
