Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi to Address Public Meeting in Wayanad Today

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the Congress general secretary and Wayanad MP, will accompany her brother Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, to speak at a joint public gathering in the area on Saturday.

Party sources indicate that this is Priyanka's inaugural visit to her Lok Sabha constituency since she became a Member of Parliament.

Priyanka achieved a commanding victory in the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election, surpassing her brother Rahul Gandhi's 2024 election win from the same constituency by a margin of 4,10,931 votes.

Starting her role as a public representative five years after entering active politics, Priyanka Gandhi was sworn in as a Lok Sabha member on Thursday, holding a copy of the Constitution.

According to party sources, the public meeting is scheduled to take place on Saturday afternoon at Mukkam in the Thiruvanbadi Assembly constituency of Kozhikode district.

According to sources, events will continue at Kurulai in Nilambur, Vandoor, and Edanna in Eranad until 2:15 pm, 3:30 pm, and 4:30 pm respectively.

Priyanka Gandhi arrived at Parliament following her victory in the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election held on November 20, where she secured a substantial lead. She triumphed in the by-election with a significant margin of 4,10,931 votes.

In this way, he surpassed his brother Rahul Gandhi's victory margin from this seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Rahul Gandhi had won from this seat with a margin of 3,64,422 votes.
