Priyanka Gandhi: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the Congress General Secretary, is set to be sworn in as an MP in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. She secured the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat by a margin of 4,10,931 votes, defeating Satyan Mokeri of the Communist Party of India (CPI).

Wayanad, a stronghold of the Congress, saw a three-way contest involving Priyanka Gandhi, BJP's Navya Haridas, and CPI's Satyan Mokeri. At the same time, Congress leader Ravindra Vasantrao Chavan is preparing to be sworn in as a Lok Sabha MP. Ravindra Vasantrao Chavan, representing the Congress, secured victory in the Nanded Lok Sabha bypoll with a margin of 5,86,788 votes. The bypoll was held due to the death of the incumbent Congress MP Vasantrao Balwantrao Chavan.

Additionally, Suresh Gopi from the Petroleum and Natural Gas sector and Tokhan Sahu from Housing and Urban Affairs will submit documents in the Lok Sabha today. Priyanka Gandhi enters the election arena for the first time

Following her win in Wayanad on November 23, Priyanka Gandhi expressed gratitude to the voters for their support. 'I deeply appreciate the trust you have placed in me. I am excited to be your voice in Parliament!' she stated on X. The Wayanad seat was previously held by her brother Rahul Gandhi, who moved to Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh after being elected to the Lok Sabha from there in this year's general elections. Bypolls were conducted in 48 assembly seats and two Lok Sabha seats across 15 states, with significant contests in Uttar Pradesh and Wayanad in Kerala, where Priyanka Gandhi made her electoral debut.(Input From ANI)
