Starting today, November 28, parents of children under six can apply for admission to private unaided recognized schools in the national capital for the 2025-26 academic session. The application deadline is December 20. Schools may charge a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 25, while purchasing the school prospectus remains optional.
The admission calendar covers open-seat admissions for groups excluding Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Disadvantaged Groups (DG), and Children with Special Needs (CWSN). Moreover, in accordance with the Right to Education Act, 25% of seats are reserved for EWS, DG, and CWSN students.
The official notice reads, "To facilitate a smooth admission process for Entry Level Classes (below six years of age) in Private Unaided Recognized Schools of Delhi, the following schedule and instructions are provided for Open Seat admissions (excluding EWS/DG/CWSN Category seats) for the 2025-26 academic session."
