Uttar Pradesh: In a recent update on the Sambhal violence, Moradabad Divisional Commissioner Aunjaneya Kumar Singh confirmed on Wednesday that three minors were involved in the incident related to the Mughal-era mosque survey on November 24. He noted that while three minors are currently implicated, this number could change as the investigation continues.

Three juveniles implicated in Sambhal unrest

Emphasizing the continuous nature of the investigation, Singh stated, 'As of yesterday, the number of minors involved in the case was three. However, that number may change. The minor accused are currently undergoing counselling as part of their rehabilitation through education and skill development programs,' he mentioned. Additionally, officers found a knife, which Singh described as potentially very dangerous if used in the mob.

Possibility for transformation

A knife has been recovered. It can pose significant danger if used in a crowd. The commissioner assured that the investigation would persist and efforts would be made to identify all those involved in the plot. We will identify anti-social elements in society and expose all those involved in this conspiracy. Meanwhile, security personnel have been deployed in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal for the third consecutive day on Wednesday following violence and unrest over the ASI survey. The stone-pelting incident on the survey team on November 24 escalated into violence, resulting in the deaths of 4 people and injuries to many others, including officials and locals. Sambhal SP Krishna Kumar stated that the internet would remain suspended in the area while all other restrictions were lifted as the situation returned to normal.
