Following the instructions of President Droupadi Murmu, officials from the President's Secretariat arrived in Dehradun on Saturday and held a meeting with state government officials. They instructed them to ensure that necessary facilities are provided to the public in the building.

The complex, covering an area of 21 acres, is presently being utilized by the President's Bodyguard (PBG).

General Public will have access to the Main Building

Secretary Dr. Rakesh Gupta convened a high-level meeting with senior officials from the Government of Uttarakhand at the President's Secretariat on Saturday to discuss preparations ahead of the campus opening to the public.

The meeting concluded with the decision to allow the general public to enter the main building of the campus. In addition to visiting the President's House, visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the rich history of the 251-year-old PBG, a regiment of the Indian Army, and its 186-year-old stables.

What's Special Inside The Campus

During the walk, visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the campus's beautiful gardens and cafeteria. In the meeting, it was instructed that electricity, water, and parking facilities should be arranged before the campus is opened to the public.

The meeting was attended by PBG CO Col Amit Berwal, OSD Swati Shahi, Uttarakhand Government Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Sachin Kurve, Pankaj Kumar Pandey, DM Dehradun Savin Bansal, and other officials. Previously, following the President's directives, the President's Nilayam in Hyderabad and the President's House in Mashobra were also opened to the public.
