Andhra Pradesh Accident: Bus Hits Auto, 7 Dead, 4 Injured
Seven people lost their lives, and four others sustained serious injuries when an RTC bus collided with an auto carrying agricultural laborers near Thalagaspalle in Garaldinne mandal of Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh, according to police reports.
According to police reports, 12 agricultural laborers from Nellutla village in Kuttaluru Mandal were traveling in an auto to work in Garaldinne. On their return journey, their vehicle was struck by an RTC bus coming from the opposite direction. Two of the victims died instantly at the scene.
According to the police, two individuals passed away while being transported to the hospital, and three others succumbed to their injuries during treatment. The remaining injured are currently receiving care at Anantapur Government Hospital.
Upon receiving information, District SP Jagadish and DSP Venkateshwarulu visited the accident site. The RTC bus driver has been detained for further investigation.
CM Chandrababu Naidu expressed grief over the incident
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has expressed profound sorrow over the incident. He has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh for the families of the victims and instructed officials to provide adequate medical care for the injured.
