Uttarakhand Aims to Become Top State by 2025: CM Pushkar Singh Dhami
Uttarakhand: To address the migration issue from the mountains in Uttarakhand, a crucial meeting of the migration prevention commission took place in Bharadisain on Wednesday, chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The discussion focused on the primary causes of migration and fulfilling basic needs to prevent it. Chief Minister Dhami mentioned on social media platform X that various points were discussed in the Migration Prevention Commission meeting in Bharadisain (Gairsain) concerning halting migration from Uttarakhand's hilly areas. Officials were directed to effectively implement schemes with a special emphasis on self-employment.
Important steps taken for development in the state
In the meeting, members of the Commission discussed and brainstormed short-term and long-term policies to prevent migration and improve facilities in marginal and rural areas. Valuable suggestions from migrant brothers and sisters for preventing migration were also received and will be implemented soon. We are earnestly working on employment and infrastructure development in the state, and strengthening education and health services. The migration prevention commission's suggestions will be implemented at various departmental levels as soon as possible.

The Chief Minister stated that the government aims to position Uttarakhand among the top states by 2025. A solid action plan is being devised by the relevant departments to implement the recommendations of the Migration Prevention Commission. The process is being streamlined to extend the benefits of public welfare schemes to a larger number of people. He mentioned that the State Government has launched several initiatives to curb migration from rural areas. As part of this, basic amenities are being developed in villages and new job opportunities are being generated. Efforts are also underway to involve migrants from both India and abroad in this campaign.
