He said,

“I’m working on my fitness and skills every day. It’s important to work on your body every day to improve yourself. I feel I still need to get even fitter. I want to work on myself enough to become a better leader, as I want to become a team captain in the future.”

It shows how Jaiswal wants to grow in his cricketing career and lead the Indian team in the future. He is already known for his intensity on the ground, but listening to his wish to become captain one day shows his strong mindset.

As of current, Jaiswal is seen as the opener in the Indian team. It is to be noted that he has debuted in all three formats for India.
