Virat Kohli To Play VHT: The Indian cricket star player Virat Kohli is all set to play the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The tournament of 50-over cricket will be played from December 24 to January 18. According to the latest reports on Sunday, November 30, after the conclusion of the three-match ODI series between India and South Africa on December 6, Kohli will be heading back to London but will be coming back to India to take part in the Vijay Hazare Trophy for Delhi.

It was also reported that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) wants Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to play the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

A report stated,

“While Rohit is likely to turn up for Mumbai, it is understood that Virat plans to play some Vijay Hazare Trophy games for Delhi in Bengaluru.”

“Before that, though, Virat is likely to fly back to London after the culmination of the three ODIs vs. South Africa but could well link up with the Delhi team in Bengaluru. There hasn’t been any communication with the DDCA in this regard, but India’s No. 3 had more or less sorted his schedule for the rest of the year in Australia itself. There could be an alteration to this plan according to the team’s schedule for the New Zealand ODIs, starting January 11, but Virat could turn up for a few games of VHT, starting December 24.”

The Indian star played a total of 13 matches in the Vijay Hazare Trophy for Delhi from 2008 to 2010 and smashed a total of 819 runs. His batting average in the domestic tournament is 68.25, and he has scored runs with a strike rate of 106.08.

In the Vijay Hazare Trophy tournament, the former Indian captain holds the record for scoring the most 100s in ODIs, having smashed four centuries and three fifties, and the highest individual score is 124 runs. He also captained Delhi in five matches in the year 2010 but was able to win only three fixtures.

As of now, all eyes will be on his performance in the three-match ODI series against South Africa.
