Virat Kohli 83th Century: In the first ODI between India and South Africa being played at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi, Virat Kohli once again scripted history. The former Indian captain smashed his 52nd ODI century against the Proteas bowlers. This was one of the best centuries of Kohli since his record-breaking runs at the ODI World Cup 2023, a knock that made everyone remember vintage King Kohli.

Kohli walked in to bat at No. 3 after Nandre Burger dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal. From the very start his intent looked sharp; he started smashing bowlers from the first ball. And from there he didn’t look back and kept on scoring runs and boundaries.
At the moment Kohli’s only goal is to focus on the upcoming ODI World Cup 2027, wasting no time stepping out and showing everyone his iconic knock, telling everyone that there is still cricket left in him.
Virat Kohli Iconic Centuries

In the year 2023, Virat Kohli surpassed his idol, the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, with his 50th ODI century, which came against New Zealand in the 2023 World Cup semi-finals. Earlier this year, he smashed his 51st in the ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai against Pakistan. His achievement on Sunday at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi helped him surpass Tendulkar’s record again.
Tendulkar has smashed a total of 49 hundreds in ODI and 51 in Tests, which makes it a total of 100 centuries in international cricket.

After Virat Kohli’s century against South Africa, he has become the batter with the most centuries in a single format of game. At the same time, Kohli surpassed the record of former South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis on the list of players with the most runs in India vs. South Africa ODIs. He is the player in second spot with more than 1600 runs, while Tendulkar tops with 201 runs with a highest score of 200 not out.
