Varun Aaron Statement: The Men in Blue went through another defeat against Australia as the host team won the second ODI on Thursday, October 23, taking a lead of 2-0 in the three-match series.

This was the first time the Indian team registered a defeat in Adelaide in 17 years under Shubman Gill’s leadership. With the bat, Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer, and Axar Patel played great knocks. The bowling and fielding performances from the Indian team haven’t helped them to win two ODIs yet.
The second ODI could have been in favor of the Indian team, as Australia lost eight wickets in the chase of 265 runs, but the dropped catches from the Men in Blue took the game away from them by two wickets.
“Kuldeep Yadav Should Have Come In..”: Varun Aaron Statement

To this loss of India, former India fast bowler Varun Aaron advised Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir to drop a batter and pick Kuldeep Yadav in the team.
Talking about this, he said,
“Kuldeep Yadav should have come in from game one. You will have to sacrifice a batsman. Obviously, you can’t play two fast bowlers in Australia. That’s that. That would be a no-go. But Kuldeep is somebody who will get you wickets. He will make up for those runs that you didn’t score. And also, the moment you have one batter short, I feel batsmen in general would take more responsibility on themselves and try to dig in deeper because they know they don’t have that cushion at the back.”
“Kuldeep Yadav Would Be A Great Addition”: Varun Aaron

Further, he added,
“It’s not that India has never played with seven batters before. They have in the past, and I think Kuldeep would be a great addition because he would get you wickets in the middle. And today again, India was depending on the batsmen to make mistakes, rather than to get wickets in the middle. But they didn’t really get the batsman out, if that makes sense. They’re two very different things.”
After India’s consecutive loss, fans were unhappy with the result and criticized the team’s performance. Questions were also raised about head coach Gautam Gambhir on social media.
