Travis Head England Daddy: No one has even thought in their dreams that the first Test of the Ashes 2025 between Australia and England at the Optus Stadium in Perth will finish in just two days. Mitchell Starc’s 10-wicket haul and Travis Head’s iconic knock of 123 in the second innings helped Australia to win the first test by eight wickets, leading the series by 1-0 in the five-match test series. Head’s tremendous knock made the England bowlers go speechless. The Aussie batter didn’t give any chance to visiting bowlers and smashed boundaries on almost every ball of Jofra Archer, Brydon Carse, Mark Wood, Ben Stokes, and Gus Atkinson.

The Aussie batter Travis Head smashed a century in just 69 balls while chasing down the target of 205 runs in 28.2 overs in a single session. This was the highest score in the entire team, and Head turned out to be a game changer after he was asked to open the innings in the absence of Usman Khawaja.

After this everyone knew that Australia won’t stay quiet and leave no chance to troll the England team. After the first test ended in two days, Head was spotted at the airport having an early reunion with his family.

The West Australian posted a picture of Travis Head and his entire family on the front page and stated the left-handed batter was “England’s Daddy.”

The rest of the description stated,

“Head’s early family reunion after heroics hands 20,000 glum Poms a three-holiday in Perth.”

The tabloid also jokes about England, stating that they could take a three-day break, considering how the test ended in just six sessions.

All the headlines were on Travis Head and Mitchell Starc’s heroics, but one must not forget how the England team collapsed in both innings. In the second innings, England entered the field having a lead of 40 runs despite posting 172 runs in the first innings.

But England faced a dangerous collapse in the second innings, going from 65/1 to 88/6 in just half an hour. In the end it was Gus Atkinson’s 37-run knock that helped England to cross the mark of 200 runs.

Mitchell Starc was awarded the Player of the Match for his ten wickets, which includes the best figures of his career, 7/53, in the first innings.
