Sanju Samson ODI Snub: The explosive Indian wicketkeeper batter Sanju Samson once again failed to make it to the ODI squad for the Indian Cricket Team against Australia. The Indian team will start their campaign against the Aussies starting from October 19 in Australia.
Recently, Sanju Samson attended the grand event hosted by CEAT Tyres, where he received the T20I batter of the year award. In the recently concluded event, he made it clear that he is ready to play at any position that will be given to him by the Indian team management in the upcoming international matches.
Sanju Samson ODI Snub: Ready To Bat At No.9

When he received the award for best T20I batter of the year, Samson also talked about his cricketing journey. Looking back at his cricketing career of ten years, he stated that he feels blessed to have represented India at the international level.
The wicketkeeper batter also stated that he’s ready to play for India at any spot. The 30-year-old also stated that he wouldn’t mind batting at number nine and bowling some spells if the team needs him to do that.
Samson said,
“Even if you want me to bat at No. 9, maybe bowl some left-arm spin, or whatever job for the team, I don’t mind. I recently completed 10 years, but I’ve played only 40 games. Honestly, I put in a post saying the numbers don’t tell the whole story, but I’m actually proud of the person I am today, and I’m also proud of the challenges I went through. Instead of focusing on the outside noise, I started a habit of focusing on the internal noise.”

Currently, if we look at Samson’s spot on the Indian Cricket Team, then he is a part of the Indian T20I squad that will be facing Australia in a five-match T20I series. But it is to be seen whether he will be given a chance to open or bat in the middle order, just like it was seen in the Asia Cup 2025.
