Agha smashed 64 runs off 62 balls and was backing up at the non-striker end, and then after that, Mohammed Rizwan made the ball go back to Mehidy Hasan. When the spinner was about to pick the ball and made a turn, then Agha was out of the crease.

Agha was all in to throw the ball back to the bowler, but Mehidy reached there early, picked up the ball, and threw it on the stumps, due to which Agha made his way back to the pavilion. After this Agha threw his helmet on the ground and threw the gloves out there.

After the game ended, Agha talked about the situation. He said,

“I think sportsman spirit has to be there. He stated that he was just trying to give the ball back to Mehidy, considering it was likely called dead.”

“What he has done is in the law. I think if he thinks it’s right, it’s right, but from my perspective, I would have done it differently. I would have gone for sportsman’s spirit. We haven’t done this type of thing previously; we would never do that in the future as well.”

“Actually, the ball hit on my pad and then my bat. So I thought he couldn’t get me run out now because the ball already hit my pad and my bat. I was just trying to give him the ball back. I was not looking for the run or anything like that, but he had already decided to make the run-out.”
