RCB Won WPL 2026

The past few months were quite tough for her, as she was all set to marry her long-term boyfriend, Palash Muchhal. Everything was done, but midway her father fell ill, and the wedding got postponed. Later there were speculations that there’s something fishy between both the couples. After a few days, Smriti herself posted a story on her social media stating that the wedding had been called off, requesting privacy from the public.
However, the year 2026 proved out to her; she tasted the glory of winning the WPL trophy for the second time for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Her team defeated Delhi Capitals in the finals, where she contributed 87 runs off 43 balls, helping the team to chase the total of 204.

Malo and Anya, today is Anya’s son’s first birthday. And again, Malo—it’s the first time he’s the head coach, and it’s a special win for all of us.”

She said,

“I have to thank all the RCB fans again for turning up in huge numbers. This one’s for you guys. And I said that—I said this in 2024—I’ll say it again, that this time it’s “Ee sala cup namdu 2!” (This year the cup is ours!).”
RCB finished at the top of WPL 2026 in the league stage, becoming the first team to qualify for the finals.
