PBKS Made History: Shreyas Iyer-led Punjab Kings registered history to their name on April 3, Friday, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium by defeating Chennai Super Kings at their home in Chepauk. After losing the toss, CSK came to bat first, posting a score of 209 runs in 20 overs, but Punjab had different plans as they chased the score in 18.4 overs with 5 wickets remaining. By winning this game in Chepauk, Punjab Kings did the thing that never happened in the history of the IPL.
PBKS Made History Defeating CSK

Punjab Kings had very easily chased down the score of 210 runs against Chennai Super Kings at the Chepauk. While chasing the target, Priyansh Arya smashed 39 runs off 12 balls in the powerplay, and that was just the start of CSK losing the same. Meanwhile, on the other hand, Prabhsimran Singh smashed 43 runs off 34 balls, and captain Shreyas Iyer scored 50 runs off 29 balls, helping the team to win the second game in the season. With this win Punjab Kings had registered many records to their name.

This was for the 9th time when Punjab Kings had chased the target of more than 200 and the third time against CSK, which is the highest by any team in the season. The thing did not end here only; this was the second time when Punjab was successful in chasing the target of more than 200 runs in Chepauk. Before that no team had done this at the home of CSK.
PBKS Second Win In A Row

With this win, Punjab Kings become the team to register the most wins in the Chepauk. They have defeated CSK a total of 6 times in their home; not only this, but Punjab, for the 4th time, defeated CSK at their home, which is in itself a big record.
