PAK Demands To ICC: The drama of Pakistan Cricket is not coming to an end anytime soon regarding playing the T20 World Cup 2026 against India. On February 8, Sunday, the two-member ICC delegation, ICC Deputy Chairman Imran Khawaja and ICC Associate Member Representative Mubashir Usmani, arrived in Pakistan to meet PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi regarding the decision of playing against India on February 15.

According to the latest reports, the meeting saw the PCB set three demands against India in order to end the drama of the boycott.

On February 1, just two weeks before the start of the T20 World Cup, the Pakistan government announced that the men’s team won’t be playing against India at the Premadasa Stadium. The decision was taken to show support for Bangladesh, who were removed from the tournament after they refused to travel to India.

The meeting between the ICC delegation and PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi was also attended by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Aminul Islam, who came to Lahore via Karachi on Sunday morning. According to the reports, Pakistan are likely to relent but have put certain demands to the ICC.

– Increased share in ICC revenue.

– Restart bilateral cricket with India.

– Enforcement of the handshake protocols in the game.

Apart from a higher revenue share, Naqvi also asked ICC to help resume the bilateral series between both nations. He also brought up the topic of the handshake controversy that started from the Asia Cup 2025.

The publication’s source stated,

“During the meeting, the PCB chairman presented before the ICC a few conditions, including an increase in Pakistan’s annual funding, India reviving the bilateral series, and their players shaking hands in an India-Pakistan match.”

Now it has to be seen whether the ICC will be agreeing to all these demands of Pakistan or not, and if the ICC declines all their demands, then whether Pakistan will be playing or not.
