Nitish Reddy In 2nd Test: With doubts about Shubman Gill playing the second test against South Africa, Nitish Kumar Reddy is all set to rejoin the Indian squad ahead of the Guwahati Test. Reddy was released from the squad before the Kolkata Test and was asked to play the India A games vs South Africa. BCCI already stated that Reddy will be joining the team in the second test, was called early and will start training with team.
Nitish Reddy In 2nd Test, Might Replace Shubman Gill

In the three-match series in Rajkot, Reddy played two List A fixtures for India A but didn’t get to bowl and bat in the second game. In the first match he scored 37 runs and with ball took 1 wicket and went back giving away 18 runs. As he is rejoining the Indian squad it is clear that he will be missing the third India A game on November 19.
The reason he was released from the squad was after looking at the pitch and conditions it was felt like that it was important for him to continue playing and give more importance to his bowling.
Who Will Replace Shubman Gill In 2nd Test?

The Indian cricket team will be looking for some batting options if Shubman Gill doesn’t get fit until the second and final game of the two-match test series. He suffered from a neck injury in the first game and is recovering from the same, due to which his participation is doubtful. India already have options of Devdutt Padikkal, and Sai Sudharsan in the squad and adding more left hander would be a great competition.
As of now Indian management is quite obssessed with all-rounders, so there are chances that if Shubman doesn’t get fit till the second test, Nitish Reddy will be replacing him in the Playing XI.
The first test between India and South Africa ended in just three days with Temba Bavuma team winning the game by 30 runs. Now all eyes will be on the Guwahati test whether India will win the game and level the series by 1-1 or South Africa will clinch the series to their name by a margin of 2-0.
