MS Dhoni To Play IPL 2026: MS Dhoni once again gave his trollers reason to criticize him for not retiring from the Indian Premier League (IPL). It has now been confirmed that MS Dhoni will be continuing to play the IPL for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for one more season and is in no mood to retire anytime soon. This confirmation was made by CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan himself, who stated that the wicketkeeper batter has informed him that he is available for the upcoming season of the IPL.
Kasi Viswanathan said,
“MS has told us that he will be available for the next season.”
It is to be noted that Viswanathan has been associated with the franchise since 2008, just like MS Dhoni. Recently he also talked to a CSK fan about Dhoni’s availability for the season and stated that he will be playing the IPL 2026.

With this confirmation, the CSK CEO has put a full stop to MS Dhoni retiring in IPL 2026; at least for the upcoming season, we can say that he’s not retiring.
In IPL 2026, MS will be trying his best to amend the task that he and his team failed to do. Last season CSK finished at the last of the points table, which never happened in the history of IPL. CSK’s skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad got ruled out in the middle of the tournament, and after that Dhoni stepped in as captain but was not able to change the fate of the franchise in IPL 2025. Last year his batting position also became a reason for debate.

Following the confirmation of MS’s participation in the IPL 2026, a new report suggests that Sanju Samson is once again considering joining CSK. Over the last few months, the Indian wicketkeeper-batter has been linked with many franchises, such as Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders. But now once again the reports of Sanju Samson going into CSK have gained headlines.
There are high chances that a top CSK player might get into a trade deal in response to Sanju Samson coming into the franchise. According to the latest report, Rajasthan Royals owner Manoj Badale has opened communication with various franchises, including Lucknow Super Giants, Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals, and Chennai Super Kings.
Now it will be revealed in a few days which top CSK player will be going into CSK. The deadline to announce retentions is November 15, and the mini auction is expected to be held near December.
