KL Rahul Fun Banter: The Indian star batter KL Rahul opened up on fun banter he had with England’s legendary cricketer Kevin Pietersen’s wife during their recent tour of England. In the recently concluded Anderson Tendulkar Trophy, Shubman Gill’s team leveled up the series.
Talking about the fun banter between the duo, KL Rahul shared the incident with Kevin Pietersen’s wife. In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Rahul shared the dressing room with a former England cricketer, where he worked as a mentor. The two shared a very fun bond, which was clearly visible in the camera.

Revealing the banter, KL Rahul told Pietersen’s wife that her husband behaves rudely, but there’s nothing serious but a lighthearted, fun banter. In fact, Rahul got scolded by his wife, Athiya Shetty, when she saw the video where both Rahul and the DC mentor had their own talks.
KL Rahul said,
“Our banter is different. He is a great sport. He gives it to you as well. There was this video, and there were two or three times when I said something and DC posted it on the Instagram page. So, my wife was telling me, ‘Why are you being so mean? He is such a sweet guy.”
Athiya Shetty Scolds KL Rahul
Further KL Rahul revealed that he got scolding from his wife Athiya Shetty. He said,
“I said, ‘Half the things that he does to me and tells me don’t come out on the internet.’ This is three times that I have given after 100 times he has been after my life. I complained to his wife when we were in the UK. They invited me for dinner, and I said, ‘Tell your husband to go easy on me. He is very rude to me.”
