KKR vs DC IPL 2026: The Match no. 70 between Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals was played on May 24, Sunday, at the Eden Gardens. The clash between them won’t disturb any teams now in the ongoing IPL 2026.

KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and opted to bowl first, inviting Delhi Capitals to bat first. In the first innings, Delhi Capitals posted a score of 203 runs with the loss of 5 wickets against KKR at the Eden Gardens. KL Rahul took charge of the team and led from the front, scoring 60 runs off 30 balls with a strike rate of 200. The young batter Sahil Parakh also impressed with his aggressive knock, smashing 24 runs.
After an early dismissal of Abhishek Porel (22) in the over, Rahul managed the innings so well in the middle overs. The captain, Axar Patel, also showed a captaincy knock, scoring 39 runs, and David Miller smashed 28 runs, controlling the game in the middle overs.
KKR duo Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy managed to take wickets but failed to stop DC’s aggressive batting on such a batting-friendly surface.
At the conclusion of the first innings, KKR needs to chase down 204 runs in 20 overs.
Chasing a daunting 204 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata Knight Riders failed to build momentum and eventually went down to Delhi Capitals by 40 runs in their final IPL 2026 league match. KKR lost early wickets inside the powerplay, putting pressure on the team.
Captain Ajinkya Rahane played a captaincy knock of 63 runs off 39 balls, but wickets kept falling regularly on the other, which resulted in KKR’s failure against DC.
DC duo Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel controlled the KKR batting very effortlessly. On the other hand, Mitchell Starc gave big breakthroughs to the team one after the other.
At the end DC completed their season with a win against Kolkata Knight Riders.
