Jasprit Bumrah Record: The Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah is leading India’s bowling attack and is on fire in the first Test match between India and South Africa, which is being played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. He gave India a great start by dismissing both the visiting team’s openers. Proteas captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and elected to bat first, after which Aiden Markram and Ryan Rickelton started adding runs quickly. However, in the 11th over, Bumrah bowled out Rickelton, breaking not only the partnership but also a major record by an Indian.

After dismissing Rickelton, Bumrah surpassed former spinner Ravichandran Ashwin’s record of bowlers with the most number of wickets bowled for India. This was Bumrah’s 152nd wicket, while Ashwin has taken 151. Bumrah has now become India’s third most successful bowler by creating this record, behind Kapil Dev and Anil Kumble.

The Indian star pacer Jasprit Bumrah took three wickets, dismissing Aiden Markram and Ryan Rickelton. While Kuldeep Yadav dismissed South Africa skipper Temba Bavuma and Wiaan Mulder.
