IPL 2026 Trade: The IPL 2026 retention is just a day away, and the trade news of Ravindra Jadeja is reaching new heights day by day. The Indian all-rounder who has spent most of his IPL career in Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will now be heading to Rajasthan Royals (RR) after the trade goes successful. His trade will be marking an end to a legendary era of Thalapathy; since 2012 he has been a constant part of the franchise, except for the two-year ban.
The past few years of Jadeja with CSK didn’t go smoothly; he was handed over the captaincy, then relieved, and fans even cheered for his dismissal to see their favorite MS Dhoni arrive. With all this, now Jadeja is all set to close this chapter of his in the IPL.

Former Indian head coach Ravi Shastri has his say on this Jadeja trade ahead of the retention. In the ongoing first India vs. South Africa test at Eden Gardens, a question was raised on Jadeja’s trade and whether he will be able to focus on these things with so much happening on the field.

“The talk is more for people on the outside. They are more interested in where he’s going and how much he is making. I think he knew where he was going from the beginning. He was very clear, and his focus was cricket. Let the noise happen on the outside. Noise always happens in cricket. You know what you want, and you know what’s coming in your back pocket. I’ll give you that, I mean, now. He is far too experienced. He’s a good cricketer, this fellow. I know, just the way he played in England. Over 500 runs in the series.”
MS Dhoni Last IPL
Ravindra Jadeja’s trade to RR and Sanju Samson’s deal with CSK are almost done, but the official confirmation will be made on November 15, Saturday. This might turn out to be MS Dhoni’s last year in the IPL, as CSK has got a successor of Dhoni who will be leading the team in the near future.
