IPL 2026 Retentions: It’s officially confirmed; the Ravindra Jadeja-Sanju Samson trade deal is completed. In the upcoming IPL 2026, Ravindra Jadeja will be seen wearing the pink Rajasthan Royals jersey, and Sanju Samson will wear the yellow Chennai Super Kings jersey. Apart from both these players, Sam Curran has also shifted to RR with Ravindra Jadeja for the next season in the IPL.
With this swap deal, Jadeja’s price has also decreased; now he’ll be getting INR 14 crore from the Royals instead of the INR 18 crore that he gets from CSK, the time he was retained by them in the IPL 2025 mega auction. While Sanju Samson has moved to CSK with a whopping amount of INR 18 crore.
IPL 2026 Retentions: An Exciting Season Coming Ahead

The 19th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 will be played next year. However, before that, all franchises have officially made significant changes to their squads. Apart from the Ravindra Jadeja, Sanju Samson, and Sam Curran trade, several players, including Shardul Thakur and Mohammed Shami, have all moved to different teams. However, Ravindra Jadeja and Sanju Samson were the most talked-about players since the reports of the trade went viral.

However, the management of both teams took a major decision and traded both players. Furthermore, the Rajasthan Royals have released Nitish Rana from their team.
