IND vs WI: Team India once again proved that it’s not easy to defeat the West Indies at home. The Shubman Gill-led team won against the West Indies by 7 wickets in the second Test; India completed a 2-0 clean sweep of the two-match Test series. India won the first match in Ahmedabad by an innings and 140 runs, and now in Delhi, Shubman & Co. secured a comfortable 7-wicket victory. This was Gill’s first Test series win since becoming captain.

The Delhi Test began with Team India’s dominance. Batting first, India declared their first innings at 518/5. Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 175 and Shubman Gill’s unbeaten century solidified the team’s foundation in this impressive performance. These two young batsmen played thoroughly well against the West Indies bowlers and showed the spectators a classic example of Test batting.

In response, the West Indies were bundled out for just 248 runs in their first innings. India enforced the follow-on, and it seemed the match would be a one-sided affair again. However, the West Indies batsmen staged a strong comeback in the second innings. Thanks to centuries from John Campbell and Shai Hope, they scored 390 runs, setting India a target of 121 runs to win. However, Team India chased down the target with ease, winning the match.

KL Rahul also played a key role in the second test win scored an unbeaten knock of 58 runs helping India to a seven-wicket win over West Indies on Tuesday and complete a sweep of the two-test cricket series. Rahul’s half-century helped India win the game and they easily reached the score of 124-3 in 35.2 overs.

The real hero of Team India’s victory in the second test was Kuldeep Yadav, who wreaked havoc with the ball. He took a total of 8 wickets in the match: 5 in the first innings and 3 in the second. Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah took 4 wickets each, while Mohammed Siraj dismissed 3 Caribbean batters. With this victory, India not only clinched the series but also maintained a 13-year unbeaten record against the West Indies. The West Indies have not won a Test series against India since 2002.
