IND vs SA 2nd ODI: Temba Bavuma Won Toss

Aiden Markram won the toss and opted to bowl first; captain Temba Bavuma has been rested for the first ODI. To that, the KL Rahul-led team will be coming to bat first and give the Proteas a challenging target.
Temba Bavuma said,
“We are gonna have a bowl. (On the pitch) It’s very hard to say, to be honest. We’re hoping that as the night comes in, the dew comes in, it gets a bit easier with the ball skidding more. But it’s very hard to say what it’s going to play like. A lot of positives (from the last game). “
“We did very well to get the game to that point, looking at the way we started in our first 10 overs of our batting, it shows that belief is there. We’ve got three changes. Myself, Keshav Maharaj and Lungi Ndidi will be coming in. No changes in terms of the combination. Big game for us, chance to keep the series alive.”
After losing the toss, KL Rahul said,

“We haven’t won the toss for a long time. We did really well in the last game. They pushed us and we know what to expect. Before the series, we spoke about it, we expect dew every place we play. Put runs on the board, pick wickets early. Wicket looks good. We are playing with the same team.”
