IND vs SA 1st T20I: The first T20I between India and South Africa was played at the Barabati Stadium. South Africa captain Aiden Markram won the toss and opted to bowl first, inviting the Men in Blue to bat first. Batting first, Suryakumar Yadav’s led team posted a score of 175/6 for the Proteas.

The Indian top order failed completely; Shubman Gill (4), Abhishek Sharma (17), and Suryakumar Yadav (12) wickets fell early, and they returned back to the pavilion. On a difficult pitch, when India was in trouble and the top order had completely failed, Hardik rescued the team with his aggressive batting. Pandya came to the field, where he scored 59 runs, including six fours and four sixes. With the help of Pandya’s knock, India reached the target of 175 runs with the loss of 6 wickets.
Proteas Failed In IND vs SA 1st T20I

While chasing the target of 176 runs, South Africa’s batting order completely collapsed. The Proteas were all out for just 74 runs, their lowest T20I score. The brilliant bowling of Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel, and Varun Chakravarthy gave South Africa no chance to win the game.
The first blow came when Arshdeep dismissed Quinton de Kock for a duck in the first over itself. Then Tristan Stubbs and Aiden Markram also returned to the pavilion quickly. Hardik Pandya also dismissed David Miller for one run, and Varun Chakravarthy took two more wickets.
Jasprit Bumrah Achieved 100 T20I Wickets Milestone

In the 1st T20I against South Africa, Bumrah achieved the milestone of 100 T20I wickets, effectively ending the game for South Africa.
But the real work was done by Hardik Pandya. His explosive shots in the final overs propelled India to 175 runs.
Chasing a target of 175/6, South Africa completely crumbled and could only manage 74 runs. And with this, India won the match by 101 runs.
In the five-match T20I series, India now has a lead of 1-0. The second T20I will be played on December 11th at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh Stadium.
