IND vs NZ 4th T20I: After losing the five-match T20I series against Team India, New Zealand Cricket has taken a major decision. The Kiwi team’s confidence has been severely shaken after losing the first three matches of the series, and after this, the team management has made changes to the squad by dropping two players. This decision is considered important in improving the team combination before the T20 World Cup 2026.
IND vs NZ 4th T20I: New Zealand Squad Changes

The New Zealand Cricket Board on Monday, January 26, released fast bowler Kristian Clarke and batsman Tim Robinson from the T20I squad. The 24-year-old Kristian Clarke made his T20 International debut against India in Nagpur but failed to make an impact, conceding 40 runs in four overs and taking only one wicket. Tim Robinson also got a chance in the first T20, where he scored 21 runs off 15 balls, but he was subsequently dropped from the playing XI.

Experienced Matt Henry and Tim Seifert were included in the team in place of these two players, and they were directly part of the playing XI in the subsequent matches. The same combination was maintained in the third T20 as well, after which Clarke and Robinson were released from the team after playing just one match each.
Official announcement by the board

New Zealand Cricket officially confirmed this on the social media platform X, stating that Jimmy Neesham, Lockie Ferguson, and Tim Seifert are now present in the team camp, while Finn Allen will be the last player to join the team in Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday. Finn Allen recently showed excellent form for the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League. He scored 466 runs in 11 matches and also set a record for hitting the most sixes in a single season. Now, Allen is expected to deliver a strong performance in the last two matches of the series, which could prove crucial for New Zealand before the T20 World Cup.
