The question was asked to him on the stage alongside former Indian captain Rohit Sharma and Women’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur, where he was asked which team they would like to defeat in the finals.

He said,
“Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad… Australia, definitely. Australia is the only team whom we want to beat because that’s the game that stays with you.”
Both Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav were part of the 2023 ODI World Cup team, and the disappointment of losing at home still reflects on their faces.
