Harshit Rana on Anushka: The first time India’s young star Harshit Rana met Anushka Sharma, he had a very memorable moment, which he won’t ever forget in his whole life. In a recent talk, Harshit shared a hilarious incident of him with Virat Kohli and his wife, Anushka Sharma. Rana came into the limelight when he started playing for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL and made his Test debut against Australia in November 2024 in Perth.
Interesting that was Virat Kohli’s last international game in the longest format. Since that time, Rana has played a total of two tests, 13 ODIs, and six T20Is and emerged as one of the best bowlers for the Indian Cricket Team.
Harshit Rana on Anushka: Reveals About The First Meeting
In a recent conversation. Rana recalled the moment he met Indian actress Anushka Sharma for the first time. He stated that Kohli immediately jumped into the conversation and asked to call her ‘Bhabhi.’
Harshit Rana said,
“I was meeting Anushka for the first time. I called her ‘Ma’am.’ Virat told me not to call her that and instead call her ‘Bhabhi.’ I told him it was my first time meeting her. So he told her that I was throwing champagne on him outside, and now I’m calling her ‘Ma’am.’ He is very funny.”

Further, the Indian bowler also admitted that before joining the Indian team, he had a misconception that both Kohli and Hardik Pandya would be aggressive by nature.
He said,
“I had a perception about Virat and Hardik that they would be aggressive because I had only seen them on TV. I thought they would scare everyone. But when I met them in real life, they were funny and completely different from what I had imagined.”
Talking about his test debut during Kohli’s final test, he stated,
“I wouldn’t say lucky, but it was a big thing since it was his last Test tour. I got the opportunity to be there. He is such a big player, and every kid starts playing cricket after watching him. I made my debut with him. I also have a picture with him after the match on my debut. I will always remember that moment.”
