Happened Only Twice In 100 years

This is only the second time in the last 100 years that an Ashes Test has ended in just two days. This had previously happened in the first match of this series in Perth. The first match of the 2025-26 Ashes series also ended in two days, which Australia won.
Before these two matches, the last time an Ashes Test match ended in two days was in 1921 in Nottingham. And that was more than 100 years ago. In the history of the Ashes Test series, there have been seven instances where a Test match has finished in just two days.
