Dhoni-Rohit Reunion: India defeated England by 7 runs at Mumbai’s historic Wankhede Stadium to secure their place in the final of the T20 World Cup 2026. The Wankhede Stadium witnessed a spectacular atmosphere as India and England faced off in the semi-finals of the ICC tournament. Thousands of fans, along with many prominent cricket and Bollywood stars, were present in the stadium. The excitement of the match was unmatchable in the stands as it was on the field.

Many prominent personalities attended the stadium to witness this special match. Jay Shah, the ICC Chairman, was also present. Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was seen enjoying the match sitting in the VVIP box with his wife Sakshi Dhoni. Rohit Sharma was also seen meeting them during the match, and the two shared a warm hug where Rohit’s wife, Ritika Sajdeh, was also spotted with them.

Team India wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul was also seen in the stands. His brother-in-law and Bollywood actor Ahaan Shetty was also seen enjoying the match.

In addition to cricket stars, many prominent Bollywood figures were also present at the stadium. Actors Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and actress Tripti Dimri were seen in the stands. Ranbir Kapoor also came to watch the match with his wife Alia Bhatt and daughter Raha Kapoor. For the fans present at the stadium, it was nothing short of a filmy event.

Mumbai Indians owner Nita Ambani was also seen cheering on Team India with her family. Akash Ambani, Shloka Mehta, and Radhika Merchant were also present in the stands.

The Indian team also performed brilliantly on the field. India got off to a flying start, with wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson playing a brilliant innings. He gave the team a strong start by scoring 89 runs in just 42 balls.

Ishan Kishan then played a quick innings of 39 runs and rapidly increased the score. Shivam Dube scored 43 runs in the middle order, while Tilak Varma added to the excitement of the match by scoring a quick 21 runs in just 7 balls. Finally, Hardik Pandya scored 27 runs in 12 balls to help the team reach a big score.

Thanks to all these innings, India scored a huge score of 254 runs in 20 overs. This is the highest score ever made by any team in the knockout matches of the T20 World Cup. It also became the fourth-highest score in the history of the T20 World Cup.
