Ben Stokes Angry: The England captain Ben Stokes had a heated clash with Australia’s No. 3 batter Marnus Labuschagne in the fifth and final test of the Ashes 2025 at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Monday. The all-rounder didn’t look easy with whatever happened with Labuschagne; in the heated clash there was a lot of hand-waving between both the players, and at the end Stokes put his arm around the shoulders of the Australian star.

The incident took place on the final ball of the 29th over after Travis Head smashed Stokes for a boundary off the spell that slid down leg. After this, Ben Stokes looked disappointed with the wayward ball, and he said something towards the left-handed batter.

After that, Stokes collected his field from the on-field umpire, and then Labuschagne also chipped in and started saying something to Stokes. The two shared some words as Head, along with two on-field umpires, watched on.

Labuschagne then watched Stokes coming over to him and putting his hands on his shoulder, making that block a bit light. However, the situation didn’t get worse, as the duo separated their ways soon.

Drama was seen on the field, and after that some drama was also spotted in the broadcasting room. Former Australian cricketer Mark Waugh, who was on air at that time, stated that he thought that Stokes would put Labuschagne in a headlock towards the batter. He also stated that Stokes was not happy with Head and Labuschagne complaining about the poor light and wanting to leave the field.

Waugh said,

“Ben Stokes is having a crack at the batter and saying, ‘What do you want to go off for?’ Oh! A little bit of confrontation. Just thought he’d get him in a headlock there.”

On the other hand, former Australian pacer Brett Lee said,
