Babar Azam Record In ODIs: In the second ODI between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, the Pakistan batter Babar Azam created history. He scored an unbeaten century against Sri Lanka at Rawalpindi, registering his 20th ODI century, rewriting record books on his home ground.

He scored 102 runs unbeaten off 119 balls and helped Pakistan chase down a successful score of 288 runs when 10 balls were left to finish the game. With this incredible knock, he not only helped Pakistan win the game but also ended the drought of his 33 innings to score a century.

Along with Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman scored 78 runs, Saim Ayub 33 runs, and Mohammed Rizwan remained unbeaten with 51 runs with Babar Azam.

With this Babar Azam joins an elite list alongside some legendary players such as David Warner (142), Quinton de Kock (150), and AB de Villiers (175).

On the Pakistan home ground, this was Babar Azam’s eighth ODI century, making him the topper for most home centuries by any Pakistan batter. By this he surpassed the record of Mohammad Yousuf’s record of seven hundreds at home.

In the post-match presentation, Babar Azam said,

“I wanted to believe in myself and my hard work. I was getting off to good starts, but I wasn’t able to live up to the expectations. I was getting out at the wrong times. I was just trying my best. It’s an honor to get past all the records of all legends.”

In the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, Pakistan leads with 2-0, and the final ODI between them will be played on November 16, Sunday, at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
