Arshdeep Singh In 4th T20I: Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan believes that Arshdeep Singh should not be benched from the playing XI in the near future. In the ongoing five-match T20I series against Australia, Arshdeep was benched for the first two games but was included in the Playing XI for the third game. In the third T20I game against Australia, he received the Player of the Match award for his incredible spell of 3/35.

Talking about Arshdeep Singh, Irfan stated how incredible the left-arm bowler was during the first six overs of matches. He also talked about how effective Arshdeep is, and he keeps on proving why he should be included in the team.

Irfan Pathan said,

“Arshdeep was played, and as soon as he was included, he showed why. He has taken 45 wickets in the powerplay so far. Since his debut, no one has taken more wickets with the new ball in the powerplay than Arshdeep. That’s why we’ve been saying again and again that Arshdeep’s inclusion is essential; he is a must. And once again, he showed why.”

Further, the former left-arm bowler praises Arshdeep for performing in the crucial games of T20I. He also prays that in the future Arshdeep doesn’t get benched.

He said,

“Credit to Arshdeep. Even without playing regularly, the way he has performed whenever he’s got a chance is commendable. Very well done. Now the hope is that he doesn’t get dropped again, that he continues to play in the regular XI. Especially after this performance, there should be absolutely no reason to bench him.”

With such an incredible performance by Arshdeep Singh in the 3rd T20I, he has reached the mark of 104 wickets in 66 matches, the most by any Indian.

The fourth T20I between India and Australia will be played on November 6, Thursday, at the Heritage Bank Stadium. Currently the series is tied 1-1 between both the teams. Now, it will be interesting to see in the fourth game which team will be taking the lead in the series.
