The left-handed batter Abhishek Sharma looks in excellent form ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026. In the five-match T20I series against New Zealand, in the third T20I, he smashed the second-fastest T20I fifty by an Indian. He achieved the milestone in just 14 balls but fell short of just 2 balls to break Yuvraj Singh’s record of a 12-ball fifty, which is still the fastest by an Indian in T20I men’s to do so.
Abhishek’s explosive knock helped the Indian team to chase down the score of 154 runs in just 10 overs, winning the game by eight wickets and taking a lead of 3-0 in the series. He smashed 68 unbeaten off 20 balls, hitting five sixes and seven fours.
Once again everyone’s eyes will be on Abhishek Sharma when the Men in Blue are seen in action in the fourth T20I against New Zealand on January 28 in Vizag.
