Team India started their Asia Cup 2025 with an easy win, chasing the target in just 4.3 overs against UAE in Dubai on Wednesday, September 10. To which now the Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav praised Abhishek Sharma's selfless attitude that helped India win the match.

The UAE collapsed against the Indian bowling lineupone after another and was able to score only 57 runs, in which Shivam Dube took 3 wickets, Kuldeep Yadav took 4 wickets, and Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel, and Varun Chakaravarthy took 1 wicket each.

If we look at India's batting, Abhishek Sharma started smashing boundaries from the start and went on to score 30 runs off 16 balls with two fours and three sixes. His aggressive start was the thing that helped India to clinch the match to their name in just 4.3 overs.

During the post-match presentation, captain Suryakumar Yadav was full of praise for the youngster. He referred to the fact that Abhishek has gained the No. 1 ranking in ICC's T20I for the exact reasons.

He said,

"He is a phenomenal batter, and that's the reason why he is the world's number 1 batter in this format. The way he sets the tone in the power play. He keeps the team first, whether it's chasing a big total or a small one."

The Indian captain also stated that many players had already gone to Dubai for the Champions Trophy 2025, which helped them to adapt to the conditions quickly.

After India's first clash with the UAE, now all the eyes are on the clash with Pakistan. The arch-rivals are set to clash against each other in Dubai on September 14, and for that the Indian captain is also excited.

He said,

"I mean, we all are excited for the game on Sunday, as we wanted to face a good opponent."
