Virat Kohli Was Sending Me Scores...: Sunil Chhetri Reveals Virat Kohli Took Fitness Test In London
The Indian star batter Virat Kohli has retired from Tests and ODIs, but the fire in him is still like a youngster who is all set to give all his energy in the ODIs. The ODI World Cup 2027 is the only goal left in front of Kohli, which will be played in South Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe.
Recently, a report went viral on social media stating that Virat Kohli's fitness test was conducted in London, while the rest of the players visited Bengaluru's Centre of Excellence for the same. To which now former Indian footballer Sunil Chhetri has confirmed that Kohli sent him the scores when he was doing a test in London.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was trolled for giving special privilege to Kohli, whereas on the other hand, Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, and others went to Bengaluru for their yo-yo tests.
Sunil Chetri, talking about Kohli's test, stated,
"A few days back, he (Kohli) was sending me his scores of one of the tests he was doing. It is so addictive, and it is so good to know these kinds of people. On your bad days when you feel a bit lethargic, you see them and think, 'Let's go.' When you are at the top, everyone wants to be a Virat Kohli or Ronaldo, and for these two to keep their place is unbelievable."
The right-handed batter bid goodbye to Test cricket this year, and last year, after winning the T20 World Cup 2024, he announced his retirement from the shortest format. The last he was seen donning the Indian jersey was in the Champions Trophy 2025 final against New Zealand.
Now, the fans are very excited for the ODI season; the one thing that fascinates them to watch is Virat Kohli making a comeback in the Indian jersey.
