Asia Cup 2025: Indian Team Likely To Play Without Jersey Sponser
Team India is likely to play without any jersey sponsor in the Asia Cup 2025, as the sources stated. The BCCI is planning to look for a sponsor till the ODI World Cup 2027, but it's not possible in the continental tournament, which is expected to take place from September 9.
After the recently passed Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, Dream11opted to end its association with the BCCI as the Indian team's title sponsor. A BCCI meeting was held on August 28, Thursday, which was attended by Rajeev Shukla as interim president of BCCI.
During the meeting, there were various discussions about finding a new sponsor, and the management is still in the process of completing the process. As there is not enough time to complete the process, it is stated that the Indian team will be playing without a sponsor in the Asia Cup.
Earlier it was stated that the BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed that the deal with Dream 11 has ended and the board is looking for a new sponsor.
In a recent interview Saikia said,
"Our stand is very clear. With government regulations in place, the BCCI cannot continue its sponsorship relationship with Dream 11 or any such other gaming company. Under the new restrictions, there is no scope, and we are facing a roadblock with Dream 11."
Now, it will be interesting to see what will be Team India's new sponsor in the upcoming time. As per the reports, Toyota has shown interest in sponsoring the Indian team.
