In the ninth match of the UP T20 League at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow, Rinku Singh, the dynamic batsman and captain of Meerut Mavericks, showcased his impressive skills. Recently selected for Team India in the 2025 Asia Cup, he demonstrated his excellent form just before the tournament. Batting first, Gorakhpur Lions posted 167 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs. Captain Dhruv Jurel contributed 38 runs from 32 balls, and Nishant Kushwaha added a valuable 37 runs from 24 balls. Shivam Sharma remained unbeaten with 25 runs off 14 balls. For Meerut, Vishal Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar each claimed 3 wickets, while Zeshan Ansari took 2 wickets.

Meerut had a rough start while pursuing the target, losing four wickets for just 38 runs. However, captain Rinku Singh then took control of the game. He and Yuvraj formed an unbroken 130-run partnership in only 65 balls, completely changing the course of the match.
