It Was An AI-Generated Video: Karun Nair Breaks Silence On Balcony Clip With KL Rahul
The five-match test series between England and India ended on a good note for the Shubman Gill-led team. The series saw many intense, emotional moments that will be remembered by both sides for years. The series ended on a level by 2-2 after India won the Oval test by 6 runs on the fifth day.
But the thing that raised questions among fans was when a clip and picture went viral on the Internet of emotional Karun Nair in tears hugging and being consoled by KL Rahul.
In a recent chat, the comeback Nair star straightforwardly talking about the video said,
"I think that was an AI-generated video. I don't think that's a real video at all. Yes, we were sitting on the balcony, but after that, everything was, you know, not real.
He also talked about how he felt joining his Karnataka teammates KL Rahul and Prasidh Krishna, stating it was a special feeling.
He said,
"Yeah, it was good to have Prasidh and KL Rahul with me. We really had a lot of fun in the last two months. We spent a lot of time together. We discussed cricket and everything else about being back in the team. It was a good time, and I'm really glad that we could end the series on a high note."
It is to be noted that Nair made his test comeback after the wait of almost eight years. He also stated that the 2-2 scoreline in the series reflected how well the team fought and would have been very disappointed if they had lost the game.
He said,
"Quite honestly the entire series was a well-fought one between two amazing teams, and from our point of view we would have been very disappointed if we had gone on to lose the series because we were performing at a really good level and we deserved to be closer in terms of the scoreline."
Further, he said,
"We always had the confidence that one wicket can change the momentum either way. So it was all about the belief and the way the bowlers and everyone supported each other; the fight and the never-give-up attitude that we showed were amazing to see."
