The Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir is usually considered to be of a serious and calm nature. No matter what the situation is, whether the team wins or loses, it is very rare to see a smile on his face. But when India registered a thrilling 6-run win against England at Kennington Oval, Gambhir could not hold back his emotions.

As soon as the match ended, the atmosphere in the dressing room turned into a celebration. The video shared by BCCI showed that as soon as Mohammad Siraj dismissed England's last batsman, Gus Atkinson, Gambhir jumped with joy. He got excited and hugged bowling coach Morne Morkel and hugged him like a child. There was also a moment in that video when Gambhir's eyes were moist—this clearly shows how special this victory was for him.

The most exciting turn of the match came when England's last batsman, Chris Woakes, came to the field. He was struggling with injury and was not even able to come on strike. Gus Atkinson brought the score so close that only 7 runs were needed and only one wicket was left. Everyone was watching with bated breath.

Gambhir peered through the window and gave some instructions to the players, and then came the moment everyone was waiting for. Siraj bowled a powerful yorker on the next ball, which went straight into Atkinson's stumps. As soon as the wicket fell, the whole ground echoed with joy. Siraj did his famous 'needle' celebration, and the rest of the players ran to hug him.

Gambhir then hugged assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate, and the rest of the coaching staff also joined in the celebration. After this victory, Gambhir wrote a simple but powerful message on X (formerly Twitter)—

"We will never give up! Well done, boys!"

This victory had a special meaning for Gambhir because the team had been facing disappointment for some time, especially after the home series against New Zealand. Now that the next test series is against the West Indies, Gambhir would like to continue the winning momentum of England there as well.
