BCCI's Big Take On Injuries Of Nitish Reddy, Arshdeep Singh Ahead Of Crucial 4th Test

BCCI Announces Squad Changes Amid Injury Setbacks for Fourth Test
Published on:

Team India is going through a lot of changes for the remaining two tests of the five-match test series against England. Indian all-rounder Nitish Reddy has been ruled out of the remaining Test and will no longer be part of the tests. Currently, the Indian side is trailing in the series by 1-2, and in between all these injury concerns, it is not a great sign for the Shubman Gill-led team. The fourth Test will commence on July 23 at Old Trafford, Manchester.

According to the official statement issued by the BCCI, Nitish Reddy is ruled out of the series because he is suffering from a left knee injury and will now be heading back home.

Arshdeep Singh, who was about to make his Test debut, has also been ruled out of the upcoming Manchester Test after he suffered an injury to his left thumb while practicing in nets in Beckenham.

In an official release, BCCI stated,

"The BCCI medical team is monitoring his progress."

In accordance with all these things, ahead of the fourth Test, Anshul Kamboj has been added to the squad, and he has already joined the team in the UK.

Team India suffered a tragic loss in the Lord's Test when they lost the test by just 22 runs, which led them to trail in the series. The all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja gave his best in the second innings, where the top order failed to perform. However, in the end, neither luck nor destiny was in favor of the team, as Mohammed Siraj lost his wicket to Shoaib Bashir.

Talking about the fourth Test, Kuldeep Yadav is all set to be featured in the Manchester Test. The question that arises is, will Karun Nair get a chance in the upcoming test, or will any other player get a chance?

INDIA'S UPDATED SQUAD FOR FOURTH TEST

Shubman Gill (C), Rishabh Pant (VC & WK), Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Sai Sudharsan, Abhimanyu Easwaran, Karun Nair, Ravindra Jadeja, Dhruv Jurel (WK), Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd. Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Akash Deep, Kuldeep Yadav, and Anshul Kamboj.
