A young batsman Sai Sudharshan whose batting everyone enjoyed a lot in IPL 2025, finally got the result of his dedication and hard work over the years in the England tour. He got a chance to make his test debut against England, received his test debut cap from one of the best player of Indian cricket team Cheteshwar Pujara. The day this player got his debut cap, on the same day many important players of India also got their caps which include the names of Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and Virat Kohli. In the first innings of the first test when Rahul gets out, he gets a chance to play but luck did not favor him a bit and he got out on a duck, and in the second innings, he got out after scoring 30 runs.

In the midst of all this, former Indian and RCB player Dinesh Karthik has commented on this young player Sudharshan that what he does off field. He told that this player writes a journal and is quite mature at this young age. He also mentioned that Sudharshan also practices things like meditation and yoga, and this 23 year old player got a chance to show his abilities at the high level.

Dinesh Karthik said,

"I am pretty sure he writes a journal. He is a guy who has a very old mind on very young shoulders. He does a lot of things off the field, like meditation, a lot of yoga, and also does very long warm-ups. He is a guy who is ready to shine on this international scene. He has done really well in the limited opportunities he has got in ODIs, and now he has got a chance in Test cricket as well."

Although he got out for a duck in the first innings but there was a slight improvement in the second innings. On his Test debut, Karthik said,

"He got caught out on the leg side in the first innings, but today he looked strong. He played his role, and luckily, it is not going to be easy. You have to fight for it. An effortless shot and a caught out at midwicket. That's how the game goes."
