Team India is all set to clash against England in the first test commencing on June 20 at Leeds. Prior to the Test series between India and England, Team India vice-captain Rishabh Pant has given some important information. He said that this time the batting order in the team is going to be slightly different. The special thing is that the place that was created after Virat Kohli's retirement from the Test will now be filled by Shubman Gill. According to Pant, Gill will now bat at number four, and he himself will play at number five. Gill, who previously played in the top order, now assumes the role of the middle order.

During the conversation Pant said,

"There is a little thinking about the third number right now, but the fourth and fifth numbers have been finalized. Shubman will bat at number four and I will bat at number five. What changes will happen next, time will tell. He also said that his friendship with Shubman is good and its benefits are seen on the field as well. When two players are good friends, that is reflected in the game. We always have a positive conversation and we understand each other's thinking."

Talking about the England team, this time their two veteran bowlers, James Anderson and Stuart Broad, will not be seen in the field, as both have retired. Pant admitted that Team India can get a slight advantage from the absence of these two.

"When these two bowlers were in front, it took more preparation and focus. But that doesn't mean the rest of the bowlers are easy. England still has good players, and we should not take them lightly.”

Pant also said that the Indian team is still young and every player wants to prove himself.

"We have to focus on our game, and where needed, it's important to give respect to the team at the front.”
